Barrow Bag

-->
Hello! My name is Barrow, I am 22 years* old and I am living in the Gambia in West Africa.
The main reason of putting this golden idea of the Barrow Bag into a very beautiful product is because I love my country, the Gambia. This Barrow Bag is an idea that came out from my mum Aicha and myself Barrow, on the 22nd of March 2011.
This Barrow Bag we find is something that can play a vital role in our society, country, nation and even in the whole world. Because first of all these are plastic bags that we collect from the streets which can keep our own environment clean from dirt. Second: By keeping the environment clean it frees us from many kind of diseases that could lead to losses of many lives. Third: This Barrow Bag we create is a very important and beautiful  bag that people can use to carry their things even when it is raining outside all through the day and night. Fourth: At the same time this Barrow Bag creates employment for many young people in the Gambia, where many of us are now unemployed.

Ever since my (Saskia_ Aicha) first time in the Gambia I saw the empty waterbags everywhere. They fascinated me because I think they are a nice way to drink water when you are thirsty, but also water can be seen as a symbol for Holland these days, since the Dutch prince is working on watermanagement. One day Barrow and I were talking about these bags in the streets and that was the beginning of the beautiful Barrow Bags. They are not only beautiful but also they help saving the environment Collecting the empty bags and making something nice of them seems to be a good idea to us. Also when many people buy them, there can be many youngsters who have now no jobs that can get a job in making the bags. The attraction to for instance  dutch costumers is the relation with water, as said before, but also the beautiful Barrow Bag will keep ones stuff dry in the ever lasting rainy days in Holland. We hope you like the Barrow Bags just as much as we do.

* In fact Barrow just turned 25 years old by now.
